Fancy Meeting You Here!

You know serendipity? Things that are just plain meant to be? That’s us: Katie + Rebecca. Any way you slice it, we were born to be friends. 

Here’s the proof: Both Katie and Rebecca were born and raised in North Carolina. In 2003, they both started their freshman year at Elon University. They had the same major, and even lived on the same floor in the same dorm, and yet never met!  Three years later, after Katie transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill (where Rebecca spent most of her weekends without ever knowing Katie) they both graduated their respective colleges in 2007. 

After college, both Katie and Rebecca moved to Washington, D.C. where a friend introduced them, and it’s been meant to be ever since. Katie works in public relations for an education reform association, and Rebecca works as a graphic designer for one of the largest buildings in the city. Their lives consist of an endless schedule of yoga classes, craft nights, trips to Lululemon or Anthropologie and nights spent playing board games with their boyfriends. They travel together, taking girl’s trips to the beach or lazy fall afternoons at local wineries. This blog documents the beautiful things in their daily life: from scissors to cake and ruffles to tea.
